About

Born in Paris, France, in 1953, Stephen Gerard Dietemann has lived the majority of his life in the United States. After graduating from Cornell University's College of Architecture, Art and Planning in Ithaca, NY, he worked for various firms in New York and Connecticut, including Victor Christ-Janer and Associates, and Robert Furno, Architect, in New Canaan, CT. He also attended the School of Visual Arts in New York in 1983; after leaving he focused on the visual arts for the next twenty years, exhibiting his painting, sculpture and drawings throughout the United States as well as parts of Europe and South America. His work is included in numerous public and private collections, including the Yale University Art Museum.
Returning his focus to residential architectural design after relocating to the Berkshire region of Massachusetts, he has been awarded numerous AIA awards for design excellence. In addition, his architecture and art has been presented on HGTV and Art in America.
