In 2008, fed up with society and the direction the world was going, Dave felt a calling to spread love into the world through art. He quit his office job, and started painting on people to protest the war. His body art made people smile and laugh, and he instantly saw a positive social change through his paintbrush. For the next ten years Dave would sit on the grass at Cal State Long Beach and make art every day realizing the power of art and creativity.

In 2010 Dave hosted his first solo art exhibit in Long Beach, CA, the psychedelic ping pong art gallery show which was wildly entertaining and he was instantly established as a unique local artist known for his extravagant blacklight art shows.

Dave started live painting at festivals and in 2014 started the Blacklight Rainbow Lovin' Tea Lounge which has been a landmark at many west coast festivals ever since.
