Kevin Ramsden was born in London, England, in 1959 and has lived, worked and studied in a number of different countries. He has resided in Kyoto, the ancient capital of Japan, for the past 29 years where he teaches at a university. Married with two grown sons, he has a very happy home life, in which he pursues his passions of writing, reading and complaining about the performances of West Ham United football club.
