Andrew Jackson was born and raised in Accrington, Lancashire. He is the author of "Accrington's Pals: The Full Story" (Pen & Sword, 2013), and the owner and creator of websites on the Accrington Pals (www.pals.org.uk) and The Peninsular War of 1808-1814 (www.peninsularwar.org).
