I've been a keen photographer since my early teens, especially working in black & white. I am self-taught and am a Fellow of the Royal Photographic Society, a distinction I achieved back in 1983.
I joined the editorial team of Practical Photography magazine in 1985 and was made editor in 1990. I left Practical in 2004 to join Photography Monthly magazine. I am now leaving PM in Feb 2009 to pursue a freelance photography/writing career.
