I grew up in a very small Catskill Mountain village about 100 miles north of New York City. I graduated from the State University of NY in 1976 with a degree in Journalism. In college, I was given a Honeywell Pentax Spotmatic to learn photojournalism. Despite its faults I really liked the Pentax but later I switched to Nikon. Now I use both Nikon and Canon digital cameras.
During my career, I've had the good fortune to photograph many famous people especially with the the American Institute of Public Service and Smart Talk.
Right now, I own Pete Lounsbury Photography at Brandywine Springs Studio which is located in Wilmington, DE. Here I do mostly professional portraits for realtors, lawyers, etc. I've done about 1000 weddings since 1977. I exhibit and compete in the Delaware Photographic Society.
