Kari Saanum is a Norwegian writer and playwright, who writes books and plays for children, young adults and adults. She has also created numerous school projects together with children, including a publicly supported book making project together with children at Kjelsås skole in Oslo. The books were made using the Blurb bookmaking tool.
Kari Saanum was married to the artist Kalle Nilsen (1945-2011). In his commemoration she has made the art book "Kalle Nilsen - grafikk" - a presentation of his late graphic works, using the Blurb bookmaking tool. The catalogue will be presented at the upcoming exhibition of Kalle Nilsen's graphic works at Galleri Norske Grafikere in Oslo January 5th - 27th, 2013.
Kari Saanum's next fiction book is the young adult novel "The elephant in the room", due to be published by Omnipax in spring 2013.
