About the Book
Over my 44 yrs of coaching judo, I’ve been asked many times … “How do you manage to keep your kids coming back and continue to grow your Club’s membership?” I’ve answered this and many more Q’s along with my proven tips on all aspects of how to coach junior and senior Judo players.
It's over 40 years of Judo coaching formula all rolled into one simple and easy to understand book. I believe any Judo Coach eager to develop his own special coaching skills and a personalized style of his own, would find this an invaluable and practical book.
COACHING JUDO is not another technical manual. This book is about how to put a successful coaching system in place that fosters an environment for individual fulfillment and success, leading to a thriving Club with strong membership. You’ll discover new tips on every aspect of Judo coaching - from starting up a new Club, to aspiring and maintaining a better Club - which means you’ll be well equipped to recognize the techniques required to manage a successful Judo Club. I hope that by discussing and sharing my ideas, other coaches who adopt some part of my system, will improve their own coaching abilities which will in turn benefit their Club and our sport.
