About the Book
California, a western U.S. state, stretches from the Mexican border along the Pacific for nearly 900 miles. It's known for its dramatic terrain encompassing cliff-lined beaches, redwood forest, the Sierra Nevada Mountains, and Central Valley farmland. This is a book about the seldom seen views of a diverse terrain: small towns and bird sanctuaries juxtaposed with the majestic Yosemite Valley. Tara Crowley was born in Berkeley, CA and has lived for 58 years in various cities from San Diego on the Mexican border, to Carmel and Big Sur, Monterey and Santa Cruz. She now resides near the state capital of Sacramento.
