About the Creator
Aaron Kobilis is a freelance photographer and graphic designer. His work often focuses on candid street scenes and eclectic urban cultures, examining the scaffolding and nuance of their distinct personalities. Aaron studied communication design and photography at Virginia Commonwealth University. Years into the digital photography renaissance, he revisited his love of traditional film and processing by studying at Corcoran School of Art + Design. A lifelong travel addict, Aaron has lived between Berlin and New York City since 2010, capturing the images that would form his latest book, Turn On Those Bright Lights, and his previous, New York / Berlin: Of the People / Von den Menschen. Aaron currently lives and works in New York City, the allure of Berlin never far from his thoughts.
