About the Book
During the fall of 2008, the iConnect Photography Workshop taught basic digital photography skills to six students between the ages of 11 and 16 and then let them loose to visually record, interpret, and generally tell the story of the place where they live, Southwood mobile home park in Charlottesville, Virginia. The striking photographs presented in this book are selected from the work they produced.
Diverse organizations working with a common vision, Albemarle County Public Schools, The Bridge Progressive Arts Initiative, The Boys and Girls Club of Charlottesville and the community made this book a reality.
