About the Book
ISLANDS IN THE TIDE portrays the exquisitely beautiful islands and ocean passages of southwest New Brunswick. The work is in pastel and oil on canvas, and deals not only with the major three islands of Grand Manan, Campobello, and Deer Island, but also with the many smaller islands that dot the region.
The paintings not only portray the landscapes and seascapes, but also the human side of the region, including its working harbours, wharves and boats.
This book makes a magnificent contribution to understanding the special character of one of the finest marine coatlines of eastern North America.

St. Stephen, New Brunswick, Canada
Most of my life I have been an artist exploring the borderlands of New Brunswick and Maine through watercolors and pastels. This is the area sometimes called Passamaquoddy Bay, and includes St. Andrews, Eastport, Lubec, and the islands of Campobello, Deer Island and Grand Manan.
