About the Ebook
In 2006 my wife and I went to Antarctica on a converted icebreaker. I conclude this book with the story of that trip flying via Buenos Aires to Ushuaia on Tierra del Fuego then by boat across Drake Passage and down the Antarctic Peninsular as far as the Polar Circle (which was first crossed by Captain Cook in 1773).
Now retired Tim's hobbies include writing and photography and he has visited all seven continents. For eight years he (and his wife) were volunteers at their local wildlife hospital. Tim has worked in the motor industry, venture capital and intellectual asset management. An active member of the local U3A and other organisations. He also writes a blog in which he tries to to mix information on his journey with prostate cancer (and urology and immunethrombocytopenia) with thoughts on life in general. After all whatever is happening on the medical front, life goes on and I don’t want to be defined by my cancer (or platelet count) - see my Website Profits from any book sales (and speaker fees from talks) will go to a charity of my choice (currently Rett UK)
