From the beginning of the XVI century till half of the XVIII century the Spanish Galleon was the unquestionable leader of the transoceanic communications between Europe, America and Asia. In its steady cover traveled not only sailors and founders of new lands but also artistic, religious, and philosophical tendencies, craftsmen, professionals and products known or discovered in the coasts of the Far East. The galleons made the Spanish Empire what it was, where the sun never did set, and with the last of them the golden era of exploration was turning a page that today, in the XXI century, the Galeón Andalucía retakes and rewrites with proud and brave words. The Galeón is alive, cruising and astonishing the seas. I am one of those who had the privilege to sail with him.
