This is the second of two volumes, updated March 2012, featuring photographs of every operating or operational antique carousel in North America manufactured by the Philadelphia Toboggan Company (PTC). Seventy Five original carousels were produced by PTC between 1904 and 1930, plus roughly 19 "re-manufactured" carousels. Only thirty-six of the original machines remain. Most of the carousels have been lost to fires, natural disasters, or have been dismantled and the individual pieces sold to collectors. PTC carousels were numbered according to their order of manufacture. This second volume includes photographs of carousels from PTC #49 to PTC #87.
