    The book is a fun read about two 1965 Marshall students who traveled western and Eastern Europe during the apex of the wild and wonderful period that the US was beginning its military buildup in Vietnam and experiencing turmoil and drama at home. The Road trip story was taken from an actual log kept by the author., Sex, Drugs and Rock n Roll was a daily part of the 14 week journey.

    Bill Currey is a native of Southern West Virginia. He has traveled the world and always returned to his roots in the mountain state. He has three grown children, Mat, Sarah and Elizabeth and four grandchildren. He is an avid outdoors-man with a passion for the restoration, preservation and history of the Southern WV Coal Rivers and streams. Currey has devoted much of the past decade working with other citizens to protect and promote recreational developments for the region. Bill is semi-retired and owns a Commercial and Industrial Real Estate Company (Currey and Associates Realty, LLC). His passion for preservation and restoration of The Coal Rivers in West Virginia resulted in the formation of a non-profit organization called the Coal River Watershed Group. The group has grown and is considered one of the premier environmentally oriented citizen organizations in the state. His second book is a Documentary and is based on his founding of the Coal River River Group.
