About the Book
This will be your "go-to" reference book for image transfers. All techniques involve using copies you can print at home on your inkjet printer and utilize non-toxic techniques. Each technique is concisely described and accompanied by step-by-step full-color photos making it easy for a complete beginner to have success with the processes. Paper, fabric, smooth surfaces and old documents are all covered, as are "skins", transparency film transfers, contact paper transfers and more.
The second part of the book deals with Lou's technique called "glueless collage" or "Photoshop without Photoshop". It allows the artist to create dreamy layered images using transparencies that have been printed on your inkjet printer. This unique process allows endless creativity as one can use the same elements over and over in different collages. A wonderfully satisfying method of doing collage.
The final part of the book goes beyond what was learned in the beginning with other techniques for using your inkjet printer for your art. Two free photos of Diane Lou's collages suitable for framing complete the book.
