    About the Ebook

Based in Snowdonia, North Wales, the worlds largest Slate quarry at Dinorwic, employed over 3500 workers at its height. It began operations in the 1700's and assumed importance throughout the industrial revolution. As the centuries passed other materials began to replace the slate and it closed production in 1969. It has been left to nature ever since and ironically what was once a place of toil and survival is now a place of leisure. where people walk and take part in adventure past times. An application is being submitted to make this a World heritage site and now you can walk through history as part of the Slate Trail. I have been documenting the location as it is 'reclaimed' by nature. This is the first in a series of photographic documentaries and concentrates on the buildings that are ghosts in the landscape.
