Shooting the Breeze is a collaboration between me (Len Grant) and the poet Linda Chase. Check out Linda's website at www.lindachase.co.uk. As for me, I am a freelance photographer and writer who has specialised in documenting the urban regeneration of Manchester and Salford for a decade and a half. Having photographed the construction of iconic buildings in these cities I turned my camera and tape recorder to the renewal of deprived neighbourhoods, telling residents’ stories of change. More recently I have examined social exclusion and my latest publication, Billy and Rolonde, follows the lives of a drug user, elderly asylum seeker and homeless alcoholic.
