This book contains a collection of the many birds I have seen in Shetland whilst following my main main purpose to photograph the wonderful otters that live there. Whilst just sitting and waiting for otters to appear or when “yomping” along the shore lines, or when the tides times are not right or the wind direction makes otter “hunting” pretty hopeless provides many opportunities to observe the magnificent birds that can be seen there. This is especially during the spring when many migratory birds arrive to breed. I hope that previewing this book and seeing the photographs of these wonderful birds will be an interesting and enjoyable experience and encourage those who are interested in birdlife some encouragement to visit Shetland.
