    "ABUNDANCE" is the catalogue of digital paintings Manuel Lopez Herrera made inspired by one painting created by Ambrosius Bosschaert the Elder; a Dutch 17th century Master in 1610. The work of arts were exhibited in Manchester during the winter of 2016 at RoBie Flowers.     I am a digital artist and I like to explore themes that are investigated with meticulousness and with project management methodology. I try to exhaust the theme in series which have all the same fundamental question at the source. This first series “Abundance” was inspired by the 17th centuries Dutch Master Ambrosius Bosschaert the Elder’s painting “A still Life of Flowers in a Wan-Li Vase”. This series is an exercise of style trying to answer the question of how to create a still life of flowers that is both, true to the original spirit and appealing to a contemporary viewer. Please visit my site for the two other series : “Mythological Stardom” explores the current idolatry of celebrities and projects into a mythical future how our contemporary "stars" might be remembered by our future generations. The third series “Comme à la TV” (as seen on TV), which is still in progress, explores the theme of childhood's insecurity and self-doubt through the cartoons I watched on TV as a kid.
