About the Book
This issue features beautiful, passionate classical poetry and lyrics on traditional Imbolc/Candlemass themes of late winter, early spring, motherhood, expectation and the experiences of being, or knowing, a woman. As a sign of the times, these poems also contain chants and rants against authoritarianism and rages against the dying of the light. Within these pages are songs of resistance, brought to us predominantly by American poets on the edge of an abyss of a new dark age. Nevertheless, they persist. Nevertheless, their candles are kindled against the darkness. With these poems, we light the candles and curse the darkness. Featuring writing by award-winning writers, including Jane Yolen, Brian Allgar, Marcus Bales, and many more.
