About the Book
Volume II of Ecuador Enchants contains stunning photographs and fascinating descriptions of one of the most amazing places on earth - the Galapagos Islands. Perhaps most astonishing, the wild animals, sea creatures and birds inhabiting the Islands have never learned to fear people, so they are tame enough that you can watch their antics, and take their pictures, from only a few feet away. The book features photographs of playful sea lions and darting penguins "snorkeling" with humans in the crystal clear water, Jurassic Park-like marine and land iguanas piled on top of one another in disorganized mounds and other-worldly Booby birds, looking like creatures only Dr. Seuss could imagine, as they raise one of their red or blue feet and simultaneously flap their wings in an awkward (but apparently successful) mating dance. There are also pictures of the endemic Galapagos giant tortoise, including some photographs of the most famous tortoise of all, Lonesome George. These are only a few of the exciting animals, birds and reptiles that will lead you to agree that Ecuador Enchants.
