    About the Book

    Edit

There are certain places in England, slightly off the beaten-track perhaps, but which are living monuments to our historical roots. At the heart of this great country, where the three ancient counties of Warwickshire, Northamptonshire and Oxfordshire meet, is one such place.

The village and Manor of Wormleighton has been settled for well over a thousand years, with a centre of worship at its heart for at least as long. Like the old oak chest which still lies close by the South Door, The Church of St Peter is guardian of the secrets and stories of the people who once worked and ruled this land.

Step inside and discover a hidden history of England, where the sheep still safely graze..

    United Kingdom

The Author: Jeremy Wheeler is a writer and freelance translator, working on technical documents in French, Italian, German and occasionally Russian. Having spent over 30 years travelling the world on business, he settled in Wormleighton in the 1990's, and although he now lives in the nearby village of Byfield, Northants, remains closely associated with the village as Churchwarden and PCC Secretary. The Editor: Sarah Clegg, daughter of the author, is an artist, writer and photographer, with a background in heritage management... She took great pleasure in designing and editing 'Where Sheep Safely Graze' but apologises to her Dad for taking so long to complete it to his exacting standards!
