About

Emily Ewins has a BA in both French and International Cultural Studies from Humboldt State University in Northern California.  For her thesis project, she spent three weeks in Toliara researching the oral tradition in Madagascar as represented through the history of Fihamy and the Masikoro people.  Her project was later developed into a 72 page full-colour storybook. Both educational & entertaining, her book includes a brief cultural history, as well as the extended version of the tale including common variations and other miraculous events.
