      Edit

The sacred Sufi Wisdom in Diwani Hikmet offers Sufi poet saint Hoja Ahmed Yassawi, in this first ever English translation, to speak personally from the 11th century illustrating how to face today's problems, overcome fear with love and through Love discover awakening and knowledge of the Divine within. Inspirational guidance, straight talking, honesty pour his compassionate, truth filled verses into our hearts, bringing hope, encouragement and solutions. His experiences being everything from mendicant, business man, family man, politician, poet, reprobate, saint and poet allows deep experience and absolute humanity to connect with each of us. Sufis recognise all people as part of the human family. Yassawi's verses helps the individual connect to their core being, develop it and become free from dogma, narrow beliefs and fear based lives

Author since aged 9. First novel The Bull got fair marks at school, noting author in need of improvement. Began my professional career as a photojournalist, working for top titles in Fleet Street. Among them the London Times, Daily Express and a very short, boring stint with the Sun. Exposed to the propaganda and half truths demanded from photo/journalists in the ‘70s and 80s, my soul was worth more than the tarnished shekels of corporate cronyism. Went on to become one of the industry’s foremost photographers I enjoyed getting to know the world, its peoples and a far wider vision of life on earth on others’ behalf and their expense. I have appeared on TV and radio including BBC, France Inter and online radio. Invited to creative and literary conferences across the globe. In 2013 published ground breaking, first ever, in nearly 1000 years, translation of 11th century Sufi founder/mystic saint Hoja Ahmed Yassawi’s Diwani Hikmet. Currently writing 7 book opus The Freedom Cycle
