About the Book
A solo exploration of France through the lens of a black and white film photographer.
This was my first solo trip abroad. I visited towns and cities all around the country; from the Normandy coast to southern farming villages, and from the Mediterranean Sea to the outskirts of the Alps.
This trip was about reconnecting with myself. The act of taking photographs is how I ground myself in the present, and it’s through presentness that we are able to truly connect; not just with ourselves, but with the spaces and the people in our view.

About the Creator
Ashley Blue is a street photographer from Washington D.C., shooting primarily with black and white 35mm film. Attempting to capture fleeting moments with an analogue camera is a difficult but worthwhile challenge for Ashley, as she considers such uncertainty and potential error essential to her process and to the outcome of her photographs.
