See More (First Edition) is a collection of poems by poet, journalist and writer Kirstie Pelling, produced during a winter spent journeying around the central Lake District using sustainable transport.

It takes a sideways look at life in the Lakes from the top seat of the bus, the saddle of a bicycle and the open deck of a Lakeland boat. It’s a creative journey in which you get to meet the Old Lady who created the Lakes, drive an Electric Superhero, join the search for Bownessie and take a bike ride to the Heart of the Lake District.

Inspired by, written and even performed on bus, boat, bike and train, this is the work of a 21st century #PoetInMotion. With photography by Stuart Wickes, See More sets out to show that how you travel not only shapes your experience but can be a great creative muse too.

It’s poetry with a purpose; to inspire you to think about how you travel when visiting the Lake District. To consider swapping your car to hop on a bus, bike, boat or train so that you too can see more on your visit to the Lakes.
