    About the Book

    Edit

The author has made many journeys across Ladakh and Zanskar photographing images of Padmasambhava, regarded by some Tibetans as the second Buddha. Monasteries and other figures from the Buddhist world, especially Avalokiteshvara and Maitreya, are included in these stunning photographs.
Starting near the Tibetan border, the narrative is presented as a journey from east to west and north to south across the stunning high altitude desert landscape of the Land of High Passes.
