About the Book
77 poems; 178 pages. This collection reflects significant events of my life--2000 to 2012--and my reaction to those events in terms of thoughts and values I then held dear. My friends, my profession, my students, beauty, the act of writing, memories of an older self, transcendent beliefs, bits of humor about my daily situation are topics that follow each other in the book, with the same ease as does shutting off the TV, leaving the house, and driving to the supermarket for food. In the treatment that I make of these topics, my objective is to connect with forms of grace and to find a personal truth.
