About the Book
This is a book that grew out of the authors’ passion for food and photography. A desire to take photographs and the enjoyment of expertly prepared and presented food somewhat inevitably combined in a pleasurable project. A sizable, and it seems continually expanding, collection of photographs of tempting and tasty dishes was the catalyst for creating an album of some memorable images of culinary art. An interest in food and particularly in what drives our selective tastes changed the evolution of this book as it progressed from a few notes and captions to an anthology of thoughts about how and why we acquire tastes and a preference for flavours.
