About the Book
The Almeda fire of September 2020 was traumatic for the Rogue Valley community. As an artist, poet and bookmaker living in the Valley, Eden Orlando asked for submissions from Jackson and Josephine County community members to the "Oregon Wildfires Anthology" in hopes of providing a healing space through creativity. Personal stories, nature's cycles, grief and loss, how we came together in crisis, healing and regeneration, hope, and what we wish to honor were encouraged topics. This 108-page anthology showcases the experiences of 23 local writers and artists inspired by this event.
Published in August 2021, hard copies of this journal were distributed at no cost throughout community spaces. The publication can be viewed online. The listing price reflects blurb's printing costs. The Editor makes no profit from the sale of this book. All rights revert back to the writers and artists herein.
