About the Book
In 1907 a few weekend sailors crew out of the National Yacht Club in Toronto Harbour aboard the "Elk". Together they camp along the shores of Lake Ontario, battle squalls, eat scrappy and meagre food, light explosives, and chase a rat around the ship, all the while waxing philosophical and quoting Shakespeare.
