Dave has worked as a weed-puller, mail-getter and dog-feeder, all by the age of 11. Since then he has gone on to work in advertising, film and television, mostly in New York and LA. Dr. Hempstead is his first foray into writing things accompanied by hand-drawn pictures. Dave lives in Massachusetts with his wife and daughter. They are between dogs at the moment.
