She is a founding member of SpirtiHouse and serves on the board of the Acorn Center for Restoration and Freedom. Omisade is the creator/curator of The Black Girls’ Guide to Surviving Menopause, a multimedia project engaged in intergenerational culture and narrative shift work around menopause and again through centering the stories and narratives of Black women, women-identified and gender-expansive people.
