About the Book
It is the story of Arya the dog who lives in Spain but travels to England on her colourful train to visit her friends. She loads her train with fruit that she picks along the way to leave as gifts.
The goal of the story is to teach the colours of fruit in both English and Spanish.
The story is created and written by Lucy O'Reilly and illustrated by Chris Swann.
Chris Swann lives in Alberta, Canada. She spent many years in corporate communications using her creative skills. Since retiring from the corporate world she now concentrates on writing, art, and animal therapy. Chris is a certified equine massage therapist and healing touch for animals practitioner, but she also loves to write and draw. Chris wrote Lilly's Story to help horse lovers and owners understand equine Cushing's, metabolic syndrome and the serious side effects of laminitis, and the complication of shivers - a progressive neurodegenerative condition. In her latest book project Chris illustrated "Arya's Adventures" for her niece who lives in Spain. Lucy O'Reilly wrote Arya's Adventures on her Colourful Train for pre-school children in both Spanish and English.
