Doniell Cushman was born and raised in Renton, Washington but currently resides in Spokane, Washington. She was brought up an avid lover of athletic and fine arts. At the age of two, she began experimenting with her parents’ rotor organ. This turned into an obsessive passion for music. Doniell attended Washington State University, and The University of Maryland, University College. She has a B.A. in Humanities and a minor in history. She is a member of Pi Gamma Mu, Kappa Kappa Psi and MTNA/WMTNA. Doniell has been married to her husband since 2003, whom she met through the School of Music at Washington State University. She has two children, an epileptic dog name Wolfgang, and lots of plants with silly names. Doniell teaches piano lessons to local students out of her home most days of the week. She has always loved writing and intends to continue to self-publish.
