Jeni studied fine art at Ripon and York, specialising in painting and printmaking.
In 1994 Jeni Rabjohns left her career as an art tutor and settled in the Alpujarra, in the province of Granada. Now a full-time resident of Trevélez, high in the Sierra Nevada, Jeni divides her time between painting and printmaking. Rambling through the beautiful countryside of the Alpujarra and Sierra Nevada with water media and pastels she attempts to capture the essence of her adopted home. Back in her workshop in Trevélez she produces linocuts, collagraphs, monoprints and mixed media works on canvas. Abstracting elements from her paintings to produce original and exciting work with its roots in the landscape that surrounds and inspires her.
After twenty years in Spain Jeni has returned to North Yorkshire and the inspiring landscape of the Yorkshire Dales.
