Grady Hinton was reared in rural Olla, Louisiana. He received a B.S. in Chemical Engineering at Louisiana Tech in 1965. He completed the course work for a masters in 1969. Grady worked ten years as Plant Engineer, Process Superintendent, and Senior Engineer. Life then took a sharp turn and he attended seminary and became a minister. Following seminary he was a pastor for 8 years and a chaplain for 20 years. Grady retired in 2007. One year later his wife became ill with Lewy Body Dementia and died 3 1/2 years later. Grady has refocused his life. He wrote a book, "Three Ministers and a Designated Liar." He became a dedicated amateur photographer and a birder. He enjoys family, especially grandchildren. He loves to travel. He uses his skills as photographer when traveling and when birding.

Grady enjoys entertaining at special events, retreats, and banquets. There is nothing he likes better that telling his stories and watching people laugh.
