Shannon McLaren is a Travel Photographer and has lived in the Southwest United States since 1980.
Shannon has always been fascinated with travel and photography. However, it wasn't until after retirement that she became serious about recording her travel images. In 2008 she bought her first DSLR camera, went to Machu Picchu, and she was hooked. She has attended many classes & workshops to learn the technical and artistic aspects of photography.
Shannon has photographed on all 7 continents and over 70 countries.

Shannon photographs a wide variety of subjects and has won awards in the categories of People, Birds, Wildlife, Architecture, Landscapes, Monochrome and Macro Photography.
Sixteen photography books have been self published, including Antarctica, Petra, Turkey, Morocco, and Easter Island. An inventory of Canvas Gallery Prints has been created and are shown on her website, along with the Photography Books, www.ShannonsTravelPhotos.com.
