A freelance journalist and photographer, my work has taken me far afield to destinations as diverse as China, India, Vietnam, Myanmar, Egypt, Yemen, Ethiopia, Botswana, Peru and Argentina.

My work, published almost entirely in Canada, has appeared in dozens of newspapers and magazines from the Globe and Mail to City & Country Home, Toronto and Destinations magazines.

I'm a three-time winner of the ANTOR Award for Excellence in Travel Writing and winner of the Silver Award for Photographer of the Year in the Society of American Travel Writers Photography Showcase.

Smelling the Flowers from Horseback is my first book of images, about Southeast Asia: Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, Thailand, Myanmar and Indonesia. It's both the most demanding and most rewarding project I've undertaken in my professional life.
