About the Book
In this portfolio of photographs I offer personal reflections on the Cumbrian Coast between 1994 and 2011, created using a rangefinder film camera and its standard lens. These images were developed from a first impression that this coastline was quirky. However, through continuing my photography, I have come to love this coastline in many other ways. Familiaristion has itself brought about an empathy and with this has come a feeling of quietude whenever I am there with my camera, regardless of the prevailing weather conditions.
