About the Creator
Katlego K Tshuma (ca.1990) is a South African born artist from Tembisa, a township east of Johannesburg, using photography, video, and 2D & 3D animation as current mediums of self-expression. Katlego took up photography in 2013 as an escape from the corporate world and has loved the medium since. The medium, originally chosen as a quick way to travel the world, soon opened him up to its artistic history which saw him follow suit in its artistic pursuits developing and nurturing skills in art direction, video directing, editing, & colouring, while also expanding into 2D/3D animation. His project Everyday Street Scenes Tembisa Part I was his first body of work, which saw the young artist venture into a journey of self-discovery using the camera to articulate his thoughts and feelings from his everyday life and surroundings in Tembisa. His first thought-out project was Joburg In Motion (JIM), a photo-essay that investigates the haphazard city of Joburg and its appeal. Shot in b&w, JIM
