About the Book
Simply a selection of black and white photographs (no words) taken in the seaside towns of Broadstairs, Margate and Ramsgate in Kent, on my old Olympus Trip film camera. They're my personal photo memories from over the past few years, and remind me of holidaying in and around Broadstairs in the late 1950s. I recall then the simple things like fishing in rock pools, building castles in the sand and donkey rides along the sands in Viking Bay. I was given a Brownie Box camera when I was ten years old and began taking black and white photographs. Nearly 60 years later I am using an old film camera again to record my 21st century memories of people, goings-on and quirky things in Broadstairs, Margate and Ramsgate, places that are very special to me.
