About the Book
Withdraw is the debut pamphlet of Charlie Fox (Poet & Musician) and within this short series of poems one can begin to see the steady emergence of a unique voice.
Most obvious is the bold attempt to utilise the blank space of the page, as words appear to hang so delicately amongst their own space and yet maintain a soft engagement with the overall ethereal flow of each piece. The effect is one that seeks to slow the reader down, to focus on every word, to visualise all it is that each word represents and in doing so positions the reader in a state of acceptance rather than expectation.
'I hope these poems encourage the reader to slow down, to look upon the natural world not with an intense expectation but gentle acceptance'- Charlie Fox
