About the Book
"Wini's birds - lined up on wires, superimposed on clock faces and curvy female silhouettes, piano keyboards and Grecian urns – manifest a mysterious, mythological quality. The birds are symbolic. They don't so much inhabit the space as inform it. Wini's palette of ochres and blues, limey green and black and white, her ethereal compositions with subjects floating on the panel, ungrounded by horizon lines or real world references are the tools she uses – her singular painter's voice - to bring her personal bird stories to life." -- Susan Savory
