About the Book
Concerning the Spiritual in Art
VI. The Language of Form and Colour
Wassily Kandinsky
This publication contains exercises in colour and graphic experiments inspired by excerpts from Chapter VI in Wassily Kandinsky’s book, ‘Concerning the Spiritual in Art’, originally published in 1911. Modern colour and art theory has surpassed the scope and breadth of Kadinsky’s writings — yet some of his concepts and expressions challenge that of many poets. We aim to visually extend on Kandinsky’s poetic prose.
