About the Book
Finalist in the 2018 River City Review Book Awards. Beatrice and Billy Johnson and Sarah and Howard Klein, two couples who are very different from each other, come together to form a life long bond. Residents of Harlem, the Johnson's are African-American and the Klein's are Jewish. This unusual tale is about overcoming diversity in the US just after WWII ended and is a unique love story as a life changing event turns Beatrice's and Sarah's lives upside down. The women empower themselves to meet the challenges but fate takes them to an unconventional path of revenge.
