About the Book
Written as a legacy for his grandchildren, this is an autobiographical account of Samuel Rudolf Arendt's life, from his birth to missionary parents in China in the early 1930s, to his family life in Montreal, Quebec, where he enjoyed a long career as a railway engineer. The book contains many photos of family members from five generations, from life in China, as well as his later travels in Europe and Asia as a young man. The book also includes a brief, but fascinating, account of the life of Willie Arendt, the author's oldest brother.
