About the Book
'Tomorrow I'll Go Outside' comprises 50 pieces exploring thoughts, ranging from deaf marine mammals with beautiful songs, to the confusing nature of teacups. Brought together in writing and paint, Edinburgh based artist Gabriel Böhmer explores seemingly random and contradictory ideas that collectively build a playful story about absurd circumstances.
Originally from Zurich, Gabriel is an Edinburgh based artist interested in memory, dreams, and the absurd. After leaving Boston and the financial services industry in 2011, he moved to Buenos Aires for two years, and began painting, writing, and making films. A successful funding campaign was run for his book 'Beetle Days,' for which he also painted the cover art. Among other things, his work has recently been exhibited in association with Artfinder, featured on ogilvydo.com, and in Dezeen magazine. When not in the studio, Gabriel sings growly songs with Ber from their album Fort Growing.
